Overview:

The .Net Application Developer will help design, develop and maintain key software frameworks and associated services. The individual will work closely in a team consisting of Applications Administrators and Developers to produce solutions that meet the stated requirements, as well as develop detailed specifications to guide implementation. 


The individual must be capable of understanding complex designs and the underlying data model of existing systems. The individual must be comfortable with developing data-centric applications using C#/.NET and is expected to lead the architecture and design activities for the application.

The individual is also expected to develop queries and stored procedures involving complex database structures. The individual must have excellent communication skills, work well in a team environment, enjoy solving complex problems and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 


Responsibilities: 
Develop and maintain software and services using .NET technology 
Contribute to and lead architecture and design activities 
Review the requirements, assess the work effort, and estimate the necessary time-to-completion 
Participate in projects through various phases 
Deploy Microsoft server solutions to house applications 
Communicate professionally and effectively to our users, management, and other departments 
Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing 
Work with peers to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development 
Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed 
Provide technical leadership for various development projects 

Qualifications: 

5+ years experience with software development in Microsoft .NET required.
Technologies including .Net4, ASP.NET, C#, VB.Net, and MVC preferred 

5+ years experience with software development in web application technologies including:
Web Services, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS 

3+ years in Microsoft windows server technology and IIS 
3+ years experience in web service development 
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Computer Engineering plus 6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
Strong experience developing relational data models, stored procedures and software with multi-layer architecture 
Experience in client server application development and/or software package implementation 
Experience with and preference developing data-centric applications 
Experience with web services and service-oriented architecture concepts 
Experience with object-oriented design and development principles 
Experience developing components using WCF 
Experience with large scale application development and implementation 
Experience with XML DTDs and XML Schemas 
Experience using agile development methodology such as scrum is a plus 
Understanding of workflow engines and ETL tools 
Proficiency in business application planning and development 
Proven expertise developing project documentation such as business process flow diagrams, Test Plans, Conversion Plans, and Training Materials 
Ability to work under aggressive deadlines and meet project commitments 
Strong interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with team members, clients and other IT areas 
Excellent written and oral communication skills 
Excellent problem solving skills 
Strong decision making skills 
Media and/or entertainment industry experience desired
